Bedford i-Kan, in partnership with Wenta, a not for profit organisation providing support and guidance to prestart ups and new businesses in Bedfordshire, held their first Business Information Drop-In Session on the 15th July 2009 at i-Kan.
The event welcomed delegates from prestart ups to new and established businesses in the Bedford area. They were able to attend a selection of tester workshops such as Tax & Vat, How do start a business, Business Funding, Marketing on a shoestring etc.
Expert advice was available on the day from Wenta, Revenue and Customs, Lloyds TSB, Federation of Small Businesses ( FSB) , Squadra branding & design, Premier Solicitors, Princes Trust, Business Link East and social Enterprise East of England.
General feedback was that the day was informative, useful, supportive, and a good networking opportunity . A delighted delegate said “The big plus of yesterday for me was the people that I was able to talk to. There were some people I met who made a very positive impact on me”.
