Rick & Lisa Sanderson of buy-LOCAL.net (www.buy-local.net) will see their online local food business on a national basis within months as new investment helps them take off!
Following several years of searching for the right investment platform, spanning EEDA’s Run the Gauntlet, to Cambridge Angels and Dragons Den, buy-LOCAL.net will be moving away from being a franchise offering to a fully supported national framework within the next few months. Since moving into the i-Lab they have also established 2 further businesses, Gate to Plate Solutions Consultancy (www.gatetoplate.co.uk) and Riverside Beef Producers (www.riversidebeef.co.uk) , a conservation beef e-commerce business. All 3 businesses will form part of the expansion into a national consultancy and supply business for farmers and food producers across the UK, including an export arm and longer term plans to take the business global. To embrace these ambitious plans Gate to Plate Solutions will be taking a 10 man office and buy-LOCAL acquiring a further 5 man space here at the i-Lab to build the platform for growth. Exciting times ahead!!!
