The East of England Development Agency’s Finance for Innovation portfolio returns in 2008, focussed on translating more innovative ideas into business growth.

As of the 1 January 2008, the maximum grants available through our Grant for Research and Development scheme have increased. Businesses can now apply for up to £100,000 for research projects, while maximum development grants have increased to £250,000. To find out more about the scheme, please visit www.eeda.org.uk/grad.
EEDA is also pleased to announce the continuation of its highly successful Proof of Concept fund for 2008. With a new budget of £1.5 million, it helps businesses in the East of England consider the market opportunities for new, innovative business ideas. Selective Finance for Investment in England and our Framework Programme 7 support package will continue this year to help businesses in the region grow through shared capital investment, and access European funding and networking opportunities respectively.
